Chelsea discover Cristiano Ronaldo transfer stance and submit £69m bid for Todd Boehly target

Chelsea are set to be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window as Thomas Tuchel looks to bolster his side under the new ownership.

Romelu Lukaku and Antonio Rudiger have already left for Inter Milan and Real Madrid, respectively, and supporters are itching to see some new faces brought to Stamford Bridge. Raheem Sterling, Ousmane Dembele and Cristiano Ronaldo are all among the high-profile names reportedly being targeted.

There is still plenty of time until the season starts, but Todd Boehly is not hanging around. With that in mind, football.london takes a look at the latest transfer rumours from west London.

Chelsea submit De Ligt bid

A new centre-back is high on the list of priorities at Chelsea this summer as Tuchel looks to strengthen his side ahead of the 2022-23 campaign. Jules Kounde emerged as the top choice, but attention appears to have shifted to Juventus ace Matthijs De Ligt.

Ronaldo transfer stance

Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo has emerged as a surprise target for Chelsea this summer after Todd Boehly held a meeting with Jorge Mendes in June. The 37-year-old made his return to the Premier League last year, but could he already be on his way out of Old Trafford?

The chances of that happening increased significantly on Saturday when The Times reported that he has informed United that he wants to leave this summer. Bayern Munich and Roma are both reportedly considering a move as well.

Hakim Ziyech makes decision

It is not all incomings in a transfer window. Hakim Ziyech could be the second senior Chelsea attacker to leave Stamford Bridge following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan on loan.

Like Lukaku, Ziyech could be plying his trade in Serie A next season after the red side of Milan made contact for the Moroccan, who is open to exit this summer. According to Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan have been in direct contact with the 29-year-old since last week.
