Chelsea at the World Cup today: Thiago Silva fitness, Rafael Leao and Joao Felix audition

Kai Havertz dropped, Hakim Ziyech claiming a famous win. Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Leandro Trossard all criticised, Jamal Musiala standing out and Alvaro Morata having the last laugh. That was a standard Chelsea Sunday in World Cup terms.

There was more drama, more goals, more shocks, more controversy and more narratives in Qatar as the tournament finished off its first full week, now time for some more as the games refuse to stop. There's another full day of games in the schedule and Chelsea will have their eyes peeled once more in anticipation.

With transfer targets a plenty and decisions over many of the stars in Blues' future to be made, every game counts for something and today is no different.

Here, football.london takes a look at what to look out for in the days action for the Chelsea connections.

Cameroon vs Serbia

Although there are no Chelsea players involved, Serbia do hold some intrigue with several transfer targets in action.

Not only has Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic been sounded out as possible option for Chelsea - who are still struggling with goalscoring - Sergej Milinkovic-Savic remains a midfielder to watch out for. The Napoli man has long been linked with the club and may be seen as a possible option for the summer as a player in a key position.

The 27-year-old has been in fine form for his club in Serie A and has been looked at by Premier League sides including Chelsea for a while.

Kick off for this is at 10am.

South Korea vs Ghana

Another game without a direct Chelsea link, loanee Abdul-Rahman Baba is the closest the Blues come to having a player involved. Former full-back Tariq Lamptey is also involved with Ghana but neither player is likely to have a future in Chelsea blue.

This game is perhaps the one to miss for the day if you're looking for pure Chelsea narrative. This is the 1pm kick-off in the UK.

Brazil vs Switzerland

Thiago Silva and Denis Zakaria will both be involved for their national sides in a keenly awaited battle. Brazil looked extremely strong as they dismissed Serbia in style to win the first match.

Brazil will have to do without Neymar though and former Chelsea target Raphinha will have to take over some of that responsibility, meanwhile victory would qualify them for the knockout stage and also offer the chance for Tite to rest Silva in the final match.

For Switzerland, Zakaria is looking to keep building up his minutes after largely being ignored by Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter. The midfielder was an unused substitute in the first group game against Cameroon and has suffered from his poor club game time with a slide down the international pecking order. If Zakaria can impress in Qatar it may help his prospects at SW6 or in the search for a new club.

This is the penultimate game of the day and kicks off at 4pm UK time.

Portugal vs Uruguay

Perhaps the game with the most interest for Chelsea, Rafael Leao will be in action for Portugal in a menacing attack alongside Joao Felix.

Felix scored the opening goal against Ghana and has been linked with a move away from Atletico Madrid. His huge price tag might be a step to far for Chelsea, but the Blues have held interest in him previously and a return to shopping in Madrid shouldn't be ruled out.

Alongside him is one of Europe's most feared wingers in Leao. Chelsea have been trying to sign him since the summer and will be monitoring a precarious contract situation as AC Milan toil over a new deal. Although Leao is likely to cost more than Felix on current form, his lively audition against Chelsea in the Champions League will have attracted viewers to this game for sure.

It kicks off as the final match on Monday at 7pm UK time.
