Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is set to join Bayern Munich before Monday night’s transfer deadline, while Christopher Nkunku has now completed a move to AC Milan.
Standard Sport understands that an initial loan deal has been agreed that will see Jackson spend the rest of the 2025/26 season on loan with the reigning Bundesliga champions.
The arrangement includes an option - not an obligation - for a permanent transfer next summer worth €65million (£56.2m), plus a sell-on clause.
Bayern will pay an initial €15m (£12.9m) for the loan, with Jackson given permission to travel to Germany on Saturday to undergo a medical and finalise a move that will see him provide competition and support for England captain Harry Kane at the Allianz Arena.
Jackson’s exit from Chelsea before the deadline has been preceded by that of fellow forward Nkunku after AC Milan sealed a permanent deal for the Frenchman worth £36m plus add-ons.
“We thank Christo [Nkunku] for his efforts throughout his time at the club and wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his career,” Chelsea said in a statement on Saturday ahead of their lunchtime west London derby against rivals Fulham in the Premier League.

Academy graduate defender Alfie Gilchrist joined West Brom on Friday in a deal that could rise to £2m, while reports suggest that Sheffield United are in talks to sign Chelsea midfielder Alex Matos.
Further incomings are imminent at Chelsea before the deadline after another busy summer of recruitment, with a £40m deal having been agreed with Manchester United earlier this week for the signing of Alejandro Garnacho.
Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte is also rumoured to be closing in on a surprise loan switch to Stamford Bridge, having attracted strong interest from Leeds having spent last season on loan at relegated Leicester.
Buonanotte’s Seagulls team-mate Julio Enciso, meanwhile, is reportedly set to move to Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg in France after a deal sealed by the BlueCo Group.
Chelsea had looked in pole position to sign Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, but never submitted an official bid for the Dutch attacker and he has since joined Tottenham for £51.9m.
Chelsea also continue to be linked with Barcelona and Spain winger Fermin Lopez.
