Cheeky dog caught stood on kitchen table on Ring video camera

A dog owner recorded the moment she persuaded her adventurous pup to jump down from their kitchen table via a two-way camera. The clip, shared by dog owner Liz, shows her using a Ring Indoor camera to communicate with three-year-old husky mix Daisy.

While standing on the table, Daisy proceeds to tilt her head as Liz speaks to her. She then runs over to the device and can be seen moving it with her snout.

Liz, a dentist in the US, installed the Ring Indoor Cam’s Two-Way Talk device so she could keep an eye on Daisy when she was at work. After being notified of movement by the device, Liz and a co-worker watched on as the pooch jumped on the table to "smell the daisies".

Liz, who brought Daisy home as a four-month old pup in 2020 after fostering her, said: “We were wildly entertained watching Daisy on the table. She would never have done that if we were home.

A 2022 Ring survey of 2,000 dog owners revealed almost 75% spot their pooch getting up to no good when left unsupervised. Around 48% say they have discovered holes in their socks, while 38% said they found their lunch has disappeared from the kitchen countertop.

The survey found greyhounds were the most likely to commit chaos, with Dalmatians, bulldogs, beagles and Siberian huskies making up the top five. While the most common "crimes" were chewing clothing, urinating on the floor, stealing food, shredding documents and papers, or jumping places they were not allowed.
