Check out these highlights of new Broncos QB Brett Rypien

After selecting six players in the 2019 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos filled their 90-man offseason roster by agreeing to terms with 16 undrafted free agents. One of the most notable names on the list of UDFA signings is Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien.

Check out these highlights from Rypien’s time with college football’s Broncos:

Rypien (6-2, 210 pounds) is the nephew of former NFL quarterback Mark Rypien, who won two Super Bowls during his time with the Washington Redskins.

The younger Rypien was named the MWC Offensive Player of the Year in 2018 after completing 67.3 percent of his passes for 3,705 yards with 30 touchdowns against seven interceptions as a senior. During his four years at Bosie State, Rypien completed 64.0 percent of his throws for 13,578 yards 90 touchdowns against 29 interceptions.

Rypien is the fifth quarterback the team has added to the roster this offseason, joining Joe Flacco, Drew Lock, Kevin Hogan and Garrett Grayson. The rookie will compete for the No. 3 QB job this summer.
