Cheapest air fryers to buy from Aldi, Costco, Asda, Currys and John Lewis this Christmas

Air fryers are still a popular kitchen gadget and this year, many people may find them underneath their Christmas tree.

They get a lot of hype and just recently, consumer champions Which? have said that they are indeed worth the hype and comes after their data showed that they could be much cheaper to run than an oven.

The experts say not only can you get "equally good or better cooking results" by using it, but it's also "three times cheaper" to run compared to ovens. This year they have proved very popular on Christmas lists across the globe.

The recent research by Which? is part of the consumer site's Money-Saving Monday series. They found that kitchen appliances such as air fryers, microwaves, pressure cookers and slow cookers, can all have cheaper running costs than conventional ovens when cooking various food items.

Because of this, we have complied a list of some of the cheapest air fryers you can currently find in supermarkets and online. This is what we found...

1. Cheapest air fryer - Currys

The cheapest air fryer currently on sale in Curry's is the TOWER T17025 Air Fryer'in the colour black.

It costs £34.99 and the product description reads: "Fry with little to no oil with the Tower T17025 Air Fryer. Circulating hot air offers similar results to frying with oil, delivering tasty meals with fewer calories. Healthier cooking means you can enjoy those delicious fried dishes more often. And it cooks much faster, as you don't have to heat up a whole lot of oil.

2. Cheapest air fryer - Aldi

Next on the list is Aldi who are also selling an air fryer for £34.99 - the same price as the one in Curry's.

This Ambiano Air Fryer has a three litre capacity and gets a full five star rating. The product description reads: "Treat everyone's tastebuds to tastier and healthier meals with the Ambiano Air Fryer 3L.

"You'll have plenty of space to cook all of your favourite foods, ideal for frying, baking, grilling, roasting and even dehydrating, this three litre air fryer doesn't require oil to fry your favourite recipes. It features an overheat protection, anti-slip feet and a 60 minute timer so you can relax whilst your food is being air fried. Enjoy a quick and healthier way to cook for the family. "

3. Cheapest air fryer - Costco

The Gourmia 6.7L Digital Air Fryer costs just £54.99 and comes with several great features that the retailer boasts about.

These include:

  • Auto Shut-off

4. Cheapest air fryer - Asda

This air fryer, sold by Asda, costs £32 and is another kitchen gadget that gets great reviews. At present, it has 4.6 stars out of five thanks to a whopping 1011 reviews, almost 800 of which are 'excellent'.

The Black Compact Air Fryer product description reads: "Whether you’re looking to cook crispy chips or roast chicken portions, this compact air fryer from George Home can do it all. The 1.5L capacity means you can comfortably cook 1-2 portions, while the 30 minute timer with auto shut off means you can leave it to it while you get on with other tasks.

"One of the most impressive features of this fryer is that no oil is needed, while cleaning is made easy thanks to the dishwasher safe drip tray and basket."

5. Cheapest air fryer - John Lewis

If you are hunting in John Lewis, you will be looking to spend a bit more with their cheapest kitchen gadget, the Morphy Richards 480003 Manual Health Air Fryer in the colour black, coming in at £109.99.

Coming with a two year guarantee, the description reads: "This Health Fryer is a fun and easy way to create low-fat, healthy meals that slot nicely into almost any diet.
