ChatGPT can find things? Man uses the tech to find is clogs that were lost in a sea of footwear in Ujjain's Mahakleshwar temple

A man’s unusual use of ChatGPT to locate a missing clog from a massive collection of footwear has gone viral on social media. The video, shared by Instagram user Shubhang Borkar and widely circulated online, shows the man using an image of the footwear pile to get help from the artificial intelligence chatbot.

According to social media posts, the man had misplaced one of his clogs among more than 1,000 pairs and was unable to locate it through a manual search. He reportedly photographed the footwear and turned to ChatGPT to identify the missing item.

ChatGPT helps locate missing clog

The video shows a crowded area where hundreds of pairs of footwear had been left outside. Rather than continuing to search through the collection himself, the man reportedly uploaded a photograph to ChatGPT and asked the chatbot to help identify his clog.

He appeared to find the missing footwear shortly afterwards, prompting amusement and surprise among people who witnessed the episode.

The video has attracted more than 2 million views, with users sharing jokes about the unconventional use of AI for an everyday problem.

Internet users react to unusual AI use

Several commenters said they were surprised that ChatGPT could be used in such a situation. One user wrote, "I didn't know we could use ChatGPT this way," while another joked, "Just pick the most beautiful pair and leave."

Other reactions included, "AI is crying in the corner," and, "You could have used Gemini Live."

Another user praised the approach by writing, "Modern problems require modern solutions."

A woman also shared a similar experience, saying her husband had once photographed shelves at a book sale and asked ChatGPT to identify a particular book. According to her, the chatbot successfully located it.
