Two Charlton players suffered dislocated shoulders in Tuesday night’s League One 2-0 win at Walsall.

Forward Igor Vetokele was taken off in the first half and on-loan West Ham midfielder Josh Cullen had to be substituted after the interval.

Both were being assessed on Wednesday, with manager Lee Bowyer fearing they will add to the growing injury problems, especially as Vetokele was taken to hospital after the incident.

Charlton lost Ben Reeves and Anfernee Dijksteel to hamstring injuries at the weekend, while Lewis Page, Patrick Bauer, Billy Clarke and Jake Forster-Caskey are out long term.

Bowyer said: “It is just unreal. Saturday we get two hamstrings and now we get two dislocated shoulders. It is just not normal. We just have to get on with it.”
