The Charlotte Hornets finished business on Wednesday night on the road as they blew past the San Antonio Spurs, 131-115.
Charlotte came out of the gates firing, scoring 46 points in the first quarter as Gordon Hayward and Cody Martin combined for 25 first quarter points.
Hayward exploded for 41 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists on an efficient 15-of-19 shooting from the floor and 5-of-6 from 3-point range. The 12-year veteran flat out dominated from the opening tip as he was able to get to his spot on the floor every single time.
Cody Martin finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists on 8-of-13 shooting and a career-high 4-of-4 from downtown.
