Charlotte Dawson teases 'exciting family news' after horror accident in Rome

Charlotte Dawson has shared an upbeat update following her horror accident during a trip to Rome. The reality star is feeling chipper about her holiday to see one of her best friends get married.

During her holiday with fiancé Matthew Sarsfield the model and reality star shared snaps of her bloodied and swollen face and bandaged head on her Instagram and explained that she fell off a scooter after losing control. Reassuring her 1.3 million followers "I'm ok", she told how she feels 'someone was looking down' on her.

In her latest post she Instagrammed unseen photos of herself and Matt at Manchester Airport before jetting off as she posed excitedly with her hair in rollers. And the 29-year-old mother-of-one, who has a 19-month-old son Noah with her fiancé, teased that some 'exciting' news was on the way from the family.

"Too glam to give a chuffin damn.. even to the airport me darlings," wrote Charlotte, the daughter of the late comedian Les Dawson. "Our last holiday this year & our first one without Noah... what a bloody ball, we were having too much of a ball I forgot to post these from the airport."

"It was so nice just being us for a few days & not mum n dad.. but omg we missed Noah so much, it just isn’t the same without him. Feels weird he’s not in this picture with us @matt_sarsfield." She then added: "We have some exciting news to share with you all very soon as a fambo."

Sharing a selection of gorgeous photos and video from the wedding Charlotte previously wrote, while spilling about the drama on the trip: "Wowza.. the most magical day, night, week. I’m not over it, don’t think I ever will. Wedding of actual dreams.

"The most beautiful bride @lauren_portia. I felt so emotional watching one of my best friends/big sissy walk down the aisle to the love of her life.

"You planned everything to perfection (your deffo planning mine now hahaha) I had the best times with my bestest friends.. my weird & wonderful mates from nearly at police custody to hospital ffs you couldn’t write our lives when in chuffin Rome.. have the most amazing honeymoon you deserve it."

And posting a photo of herself in front of The Colosseum she joked: "Before chazza became more of an attraction than the chuffin colosseum at least I managed to get some nice pics & eat some sexeh food before it all went Pete Tong. Fewmin my gorgeous @noughtsandkisses Playsuit is covered in blood ffs."

Charlotte told fans on Wednesday (August 31): "I’m ok, I’ve been very lucky and can thankfully go home to my boy... but wow it’s been a scary horrible day for me, Matthew & my friends.. but thank god someone was looking down on me."

Explaining what had happened she said: "When in Rome.. I fell off a scooter today travelling around.. I lost control of it, got scared went into the curb & fell over the handle bars."

The doting parents, who welcomed Noah in January 2021, looked loved-up as they headed off on their romantic getaway. Charlotte said ahead of the trip: "I can’t believe we are leaving our cherub tomorrow for 5 nights as we go to Rome for our friends wedding!! Gonna miss him so much."

Fans were pleased to see her smiling again after, at the start of this month, Charlotte opened up about her distressing online trolling ordeal. She was inundated with support after she told about being 'targeted' on social media in an emotional video.

She broke down in tears as she revealed she's been viciously trolled by someone who anonymously reported her to social services with false claims. "I've had this one person for a while now, probably like a year, maybe two years constantly stalking me, sending me messages all the time, nasty messages every single day about, you know, the way I look, what I'm doing, how I'm parenting, you know, what me and Matthew are doing," she said.
