Charlotte Crosby says brand-new BBC Three show portrays the ins and outs of her life in Sunderland 'perfectly'

Charlotte Crosby has said that her brand-new BBC Three series, Charlotte in Sunderland, has captured the last year of her life or so 'perfectly'.

The 32-year-old from Wearside's new show details the ins and outs of Charlotte's life in her hometown, from loving relationships with family and friends to her exciting business ventures with her own fashion brand; Pepper Girls Club.

And while the polished version of affairs that we see on television can usually show a different story to reality, Charlotte says that the BBC saga nails everything to a tee.

Speaking about the show to Chronicle Live this afternoon, Charlotte said: "Well to me it's just portrayed it perfectly, I think. The show is like no other show I've done before. It's really beautifully done and I just think it's really warm.

"It's a really warm and heartfelt show and I'm actually really proud of it."

The show, which debuted on BBC Three and the iPlayer February 1, has so far featured some major occurrences in Charlotte's life - including the launch of her Pepper Girls Club fashion brand and her and beau Jake Ankers finding out they were expecting a child together.

It has also detailed her mother, Letitia's brave battle with breast cancer - screening emotional conversations between the family and most recently Charlotte and her mum going wig shopping. However, Charlotte insists that there is still so much more to come from the show itself.

She added: "Well obviously there's the birth - which was all recorded, and my baby shower - and just lots more moments with the family, like updates, how everyone is getting on and lots more of Sunderland."

Charlotte is also over the moon that she's putting Sunderland on the map, after years spent showcasing Newcastle upon Tyne with Geordie Shore. She went on: "So obviously it was a bit contradictory going on Geordie Shore when I am a Mackem, and obviously my dad didn't like it because he's a big Sunderland supporter.

"So it's very nice to be able to now show people my roots, instead of everyone just thinking that I'm from Newcastle."

Charlotte in Sunderland is available to watch on BBC Three and the BBC iPlayer now.
