Charlotte Crosby fans make the same 'comforting' observation over baby daughter after sharing identity struggle

Fans of Charlotte Crosby were quick to tell her of the observation they made over her baby daughter and have said they hope it brings her 'comfort'. The former Geordie Shore star and her boyfriend Jake Ankers welcomed their first child into the world last year.

The loved-up couple welcomed their bundle of joy, a baby girl, into the world in October 2022 after Charlotte, 32, revealed that she was pregnant in April of the same year following weeks of speculation from her fans. Charlotte and Jake Ankers started dating in 2021 after she split from her former partner Liam Beaumont.

Charlotte has since been posting updates on social media on her motherhood journey with plenty of cute images of her daughter, who is named Alba Jean. In one of her latest social media posts shared on International Women's Day on Wednesday (March 8), the five-month-old could be seen in a camel-coloured polka-dot outfit which came with a matching headband.

"To strong women, may we know them, may we be them, may we RAISE Them," Charlotte penned alongside the sweet post. "My beautiful little strong woman right there my Alba. Our world." And fans were quick to comment as they cooed over the adorable images while some also pointed out Alba's resemblance to her late great-grandmother Jean, who she is named after and who tragically died in November.

@gemt25 said: "Never known a baby look soooooo much like a great grandparent in my life…. Must be a huge comfort." @blinda_jones wrote: "She just look like your nana Charlotte." @natalie_louise89 commented: "Awww she’s the double of nana." @elzabelle_funk added: "Your Nan would be even more proud to see her Great-granddaughter mirror her. She’s her image."

Others, however, couldn't decide whether she looked more like Jake or Charlotte. @lisa07835 said: "Looks so much like her daddy." @carolly7 commented: "She’s so like Jake!" @chelsam12345 replied: "She is jakes double!" But @its_little_kelly wrote: "Your double." @gensdogs shared: "Looks like you Charlotte." While @toni_mapp added: "She is beautiful like you your nanna and jake I'm happy to see you happy at last followed u on your geordie shore experience throughout always knew u would find the right one much love to u all."

Charlotte has recently opened up about her identity since becoming a mum and having her lip fillers dissolved. While the reality star describes her daughter as the best thing to ever happen to her, she admitted that she’s lost confidence in herself since welcoming Alba into the world.

Speaking to New, as reported by OK! Magazine, Charlotte said: "I was a lot more confident when I had fillers. It’s really noticeable, to the point where it affects me and I don’t feel confident in front of the cameras. I don’t like it. I’m struggling to come to terms with having smaller lips. Getting them dissolved is not worth how I feel. I feel self-conscious and it’s not nice to feel like that."

She then went on to say: “I’ve just had a baby and I’m a stone and a half heavier, so I probably dissolved them at a really bad time. I feel bigger, so by shrinking my lips, it’s made me feel like my face is even bigger. When you have a baby, your body changes and you have these battles with your image. It’s an awful time. Dissolving my lips at that point was not a good idea, but I couldn’t have walked around with them that big. It was a catch-22."

It comes after Charlotte was defended by her fans after airing intimate footage of her giving birth on her new BBC show. Charlotte returned to TV with her brand new series Charlotte in Sunderland. After announcing her pregnancy back in April 2022, the 10-part programme followed Charlotte's return to her home city of Sunderland as she navigated her new life as a first time mum. The series also showcased her relationship with her boyfriend Jake Ankers, 31, as well as her mum Letitia's devastating breast cancer diagnosis and the death of her beloved grandma Jean.

In the final episode of the series, which aired on March 1, raw footage of Charlotte giving birth to her daughter Alba Jean was aired. The reality TV star dubbed her pregnancy a 'miracle' after suffering a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy back in 2016 and fearing she might never be able to have children.

But after the episode aired Charlotte was hit with some criticism from her followers for airing such intimate details, including her hospital wristband. And some also said that sharing her 'perfect' birth was insensitive to other mums who might not have had a similar experience with pregnancy.
