Charlize Theron says Steven Seagal is 'not very nice to women'

Charlize Theron let it be known in a recent interview with Howard Stern that she is no fan of action star Steven Seagal.

The Mad Max actress added that she doesn’t see any problem in criticizing Seagal as he is “not very nice to women.”

During the interview, Stern asked her how she prepares for stunts in action films.

Theron said: “At night I’ll go online to watch fighters or watch people fight and you always come across that odd Seagal video of him ‘fighting’ in Japan, but he really isn’t.”

She continued, “He’s just incredibly overweight and pushing people. He’s overweight and can barely fight… look it up, it’s ridiculous.”

Theron added: “He’s shoving people by the face, it’s a whole setup."

When Stern asked why she was comfortable being critical of the 68-year-old action star, Theron explained that she has “no problem talking sh*t about” Seagal “because he’s not very nice to women... so, f**k you!”

Seagal has faced accusations of sexual assault and harassment in the past.

In January of 2018 actress Regina Simons, who alleged she was raped by Segal in 1998, and former model Faviola Dadis, who claimed she was groped by the actor during an audition in 2002, took part in a Los Angeles press conference led by attorney Lisa Bloom.

Segal's attorney, Anthony Falangetti, denied the allegations in a statement to USA Today: "The allegations that have been made against Mr. Seagal are false and have no substantive material support. The accounts of both women are completely fictitious and totally made up. The allegations are a disservice to women who are victimized because of real predators in the film industry."

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office revealed in December of 2018 that the case was "declined" due to the statute of limitations having expired on the alleged 2002 assault.

In 2017, Katherine Heigl spoke about her uncomfortable time working with Segal during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

Kimmel asked about her time starring in the film Under Siege 2 with Segal when was only 16.

Heigl told the host: “He [Segal] said, ‘y’know Kaite I’ve got girlfriends your age’ and I said ‘isn’t that illegal?’ and he said ‘they don’t seem to mind.’”
