Charley Webb says she misses her 'work family' as she reunites with Emmerdale co-stars

Charley Webb said she misses her 'work family' as she reunited with her former Emmerdale co-stars.

The actress, 34, who quit the soap in 2020 after almost a decade of playing Debbie Dingle on the ITV show, shared pictures of a night out with her onscreen family, and reminisced in a heart-warming post on Instagram.

Charley uploaded the pictures showing her posing with Emma Atkins and Jeff Hordley, who played her fictional mum and dad Charity and Cain, as well as Zoë Henry, who played Rhona Goskirk, and Belle actress Eden Taylor-Draper.

“I will forever love my old work family. My heart feels so full and grateful they came into my life all those years ago. They will last a lifetime,” she captioned the slideshow.

In one of the snaps, she’s wearing a beanie hat as she poses with Emma, and in another, cuddles up to her onscreen dad Jeff.

Her fans were overjoyed to see her reunited with her former Emmerdale co-stars, and hoped Charley has a change of heart and returns to the soap.

“I really hope Debbie makes a return to Emmerdale one day. Great pics. You all look fantastic,” one commented.

“So sad to see you leave as Debbie Dingle. She's one of my favourite characters. But love you Charley, and can't wait to see what your next ventures,” a fan commented.

Charley has no plans to return to the long-running ITV soap after confirming she had left Emmerdale late last year.

The actress, who had played Debbie for 19 years, said she didn’t want to make a fuss over her departure, and kept her exit low-key.

“I left to have [son] Ace [two] years ago. I went back at the end of last year for 10 weeks to complete a storyline. So, I guess officially it's been a year. I never felt the need to announce it which is why we didn't,” she told a fan during a Q&A on Instagram.
