Embarrassing Bodies looking for new patients as Channel 4 show makes dramatic return

Embarrassing Bodies is coming back and the producers are looking for new patients to treat for the upcoming series.

Is always, the show will be focusing on raising awareness for health and medical conditions which may not feel can be talked about openly.

While airing your health issues on television may be daunting, the doctors on the show have said that it is one way of getting fast-tracked treatment.

The award-winning show, which will be aired on E4, has proved popular in the past and once again producers have set out their thoughts on who they would like to see apply to be seen by their doctors.

They have asked: "Worried about smelly wind? Or stressed about snoring?

"Are your fillers or aesthetic treatments causing you problems?

"Is there a condition that you’ve been struggling with for years but have never had the right treatment for?"

The producers also added that "no issue or concern is too small."

Patients are now being sought for the eight hour-long episodes, which will be produced by Maverick Television and will feature a new team of medical experts.

As well as solving "medical mysteries" that are brought to attention, the experts are also hoping to help destigmatise some common conditions which often go overlooked, ignored and ultimately untreated.

There will also be a number of pop-up ‘confessional clinics’ in cities around the UK, in which people can seek advice on conditions they may find too embarrassing to see their GP about.

The new series will also see celebrities voice their thoughts on major health and sexual health issues and hope to spark conversation on these topics by being involved in a series of stunts.

The Commissioning Editor for the double BAFTA Award winning show, Clemency Green, said about the new series: "There is no condition too big, too small or embarrassing for our brand-new team of unflinching experts.

"The original run on Channel 4 made waves in helping to empower people to check their bodies and seek medical assistance without shame, so I can’t wait to once again be confronted, fascinated and informed on the many and varied problems that walk into our new clinic.

"With ‘Doctor Google ’ being the first port of call for many people with embarrassing ailments, I hope this new series will offer some comfort, crucial medical advice and encourage them to seek help where needed."
