Chandigarh: Minor boy brutally attacks 19-year-old over past grudge

CHANDIGARH: A 17-year-old boy attacked a 19-year-old with sharp-edged and blunt weapons in Mauli Jagran. Police have registered a case of attempt to murder.

Police said that on the intervening night of June 24 and 25, they received information about a quarrel near government toilet at Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran.

On receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot and found that the victim had been taken to Government Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula.

The victim, Anurag, a resident of Charan Singh Colony is undergoing treatment. Doctors declared him unfit to give a statement.

His father said that at about 9.30pm on Friday, Anurag and two or three of his friends were standing near public toilets when the minor living in the area attacked him with iron rod and sharp-edged weapons over an old rivalry.

Police registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC.
