Dean Smith’s side came from a goal down to beat West Brom 2-1 in a feisty Championship Playoff semi-final first leg at Villa Park.
Dwight Gayle put the visitors ahead after an error from Glenn Whelan but the hosts turned things around with quarter of an hour left through Conor Hourihane and Tammy Abraham's penalty, before Gayle saw red late on.
Next up, it's Leeds United against Derby County.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side looked, for large parts of the campaign, certainties to secure an automatic promotion spot. But a dip in form – coupled with a superb run from Sheffield United – saw Leed’s finish in third.
Now they face Derby County, who themselves have promised so much but faltered each time over recent seasons – and this match opens up the old wounds of ‘Spygate’, even if Rams boss Frank Lampard has downplayed the importance of that saga.
