Featherstone Rovers will feature on television twice in the opening two weeks of the Championship season.
The West Yorkshire outfit will feature in Premier Sports’ first Monday night broadcast as they travel to York City Knights in one of the most intriguing clashes of round one.
Featherstone will then host Leigh Centurions in round two and that will be shown on TV, too, as the cameras capture Brian McDermott’s start to life in the dugout at Post Office Road.
The Championship will get underway on Saturday, January 29, when Leigh, fresh from their relegation from the Super League, take on Whitehaven at the Leigh Sports Village.
Halifax Panthers travel to Batley Bulldogs in another exciting clash, while former top flight outfits London Broncos and Widnes Vikings will go head-to-head in the capital.
Barrow Raiders, Dewsbury Rams and Workington Town will also be at home in round one.
Round two will begin when Newcastle Thunder host Batley at Kingston Park on Saturday, February 5, and the following day Bradford Bulls, Halifax, Whitehaven and Widnes will play their first home games of the campaign.
