One kind of milk is putting smiles on thousands of Irish people's faces for a peculiar reason.
People took to Reddit to discuss their joy at finding a carton of milk with their date of birth as the use-by date written on the lid.
Asking if they were the only ones lifted by seeing their birthday printed on the packaging, one user said: "Does anyone else's life get that little bit happier when you look at the Use By date on the milk and it's your birthday?

"I've a smile on my face."
And it appears they are most definitely not the only one who finds the whole idea novel.
People quickly rushed to the forum to say they thought they were on their own when it came to being delighted by the date.
One person said: "I've clearly never had an original thought in my life. Really thought I was the only one".
Another said: "I get so excited for Birthday Milk, and my husband thinks I'm mad. Excited to show him this."
"Honestly, whenever I see anything with my birthday I get all happy", said a third.
While a fourth commented: "Absolutely, I'll pick it up and if it's one of the families birthdays I'll tell them "look! It's your birthday milk!".
"To much disinterest."
Others joked that seeing your birthday printed on the label might not always be the best.
They said: "Until you remember your birthday was last week.
"Then you feel old, sour and slightly curdled."
Some users added that they become particularly gleeful when they see December 25 printed on packaging as it gets them excited for Christmas.
They said: "I really like it when the best before date on milk or other foods is 25 December. Don't know why, gives me a thrill to think "I can't drink this on Christmas Day".
Another said: "Yes but December is better for me, that's when I see Dec on everything!"
While a third added: "Dec 25 is the best date".
Another wrote: "I work in a public office and whenever someone has the same DOB as me I'm like OMG what a birthday!
"And if they were born on the same year as well (happened twice) well, wow."
