Celtic transfer state of play on Traore, Frimpong and Tilio as Yang Hyun Jun hailed as 'different level'

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has got his media obligations out the way and now it is very much down to business for the returning manager.

The 50-year-old is raring to go and talked up a squad which romped to the Treble under predecessor Ange Postecoglou. And the Irishman sees evolution rather than revolution (trademark Alan Partridge) incoming as he aims to add his own touch to a side he believes capable of becoming a bonafide force in Europe. The Champions League is calling and incomings and outgoings are looming. But Rodgers was keen to stress it wouldn't be in high volume as he looks for the right names to arrive.

Odin Thiago Holm is the name to remember for Celtic quizzes down the road as the first signing of the second Rodgers era but he won't be the only arrival this summer. Record Sport runs the rule over the current state of play and what could come next in a summer of change in Glasgow's east end.

Yang Hyun Jun

The Gangwon winger wants out of South Korea and his eyes firmly fixed on becoming a Celtic player. It appears a case of civil war with his agents and current club at loggerheads over when he can leave his current side, amid their nightmare season which see them languishing second bottom of the K-League. His current employers prefer a winter transfer exit to Glasgow, however, the player is moving heaven and earth to join compatriot Oh in Glasgow. And he caught the eye of a Tottenham insider during an impressive display for a League XI against Spurs.

Spurs TV Rob Daly commentator, said: "He was probably the player I had the least information on, he was probably the best player for team K-League. He came on and changed things, being direct, he didn't lack any confidence. He was the one player on the back game I thought was excellent. I felt he was a level above a lot of his team-mates with the way he was playing."

Marco Tilio

Melbourne City boss Rado Vidosic has given his confirmation of Marco Tilio's imminent arrival at the Hoops. Record Sport revealed Brendan Rodgers is on the hunt of the 21-year-old Australia international. He's primed to join compatriot Aaron Mooy in Glasgow and Vidosic admitted he has resigned himself to losing his star man.

He said: "I doubt we will be able to keep him. He had a fantastic season for us.” Tilio was a late replacement in the Australia World Cup squad in Qatar last year for Hibs' injured talisman Martin Boyle, but never made an appearance at the Finals.

Benie Traore

The infamous Celtic AND Rangers double interest causes thousands of eyes to collectively roll in Glasgow. We get it but we also can see why a clutch of clubs would be keen on the breakout player in Scandinavian football. The 21 year-old is a pocket rocket striker who has 21 goal contributions in 18 games for Swedish side Hacken.

And now Sheffield United are primed and ready to enter the fray for the £4m-rated forward who several onlookers reckon is the best young player to emerge from Sweden in recent years. And it's not just the pull of former Hibs boss Paul Heckingbottom at the wheel, oh no, it's the Blades' place in the Premier League which could excite Traore. The bottom line is the striker is going this summer and won't be short of suitors.

Jeremie Frimpong

A busy few hours for the former Celtic man. Real Madrid are keen to strike and it's good news for his agency as Manchester United are also in the mix. Celtic will also be watching with intrigue as they know if Bayer Leverkusen sell the rampaging right-back in brings a bonus to the transfer kitty ahead of Rodgers' big summer at the helm. Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is a long-time admirer of a player who movers and shakers within the Bernabeu view as the perfect successor to Dani Carvajal.
