Celtic squad revealed as Greg Taylor Scotland mystery nears conclusion during engine room shake up

Ange Postecoglou has some Celtic injury headaches to deal with going into the clash with Hibs - but it doesn't appear Greg Taylor will be among the absentees.

The status of the left-back for the clash against Lee Johnston's side was plunged into doubt after Steve Clarke surpassingly left the Celtic star out of the Scotland squad for the double header against Cyprus and Spain. Clarke pointed to "a little injury" as the reason for his absence, insisting that it would be for Postecoglou to comment on.

Cameron Carter-Vickers was also facing similar concerns after being left out of the USA side by boss Anthony Hudson, who sighted a potential knee injury as the explanation for his international absences. Since then, Postecoglou has moved to clear up concerns - insisting both are ready for the Scottish Premiership clash at Celtic Park. He said: We provide all the relevant information to the international teams then it’s up to them to decide whether they call the players up or not.

"From our perspective, Greg’s available and will play (on Saturday). It’s the same with Cameron. It’s up to the international manager and their medical team to decide whether they call them up or they decide to leave them this time for rehab purposes.

“I wouldn’t read too much into it, both will play on Saturday. All players have some issues here and there at different times and we manage them as best we can.”

However, Aaron Mooy and Tomoki Iwata are ruled out for Celtic with minor injuries, while Daizen Maeda is set to return. Carl Starfelt has shaken off a hip strain picked up against Hearts in the Scottish Cup.

Postecoglou said: "Aaron Mooy has been a bit sore the last couple of weekends so he probably won't be able to get up for it. Tomoki Iwata got a bit of a back strain in training yesterday and couldn't train today. At a push, both could have played, but with a two-week break, we decided to leave them out tomorrow."
