Celtic SLO hints at rearranged treble Treble party after Scottish Cup parade was scrapped

Celtic's supporter liaison office John Paul Taylor has hinted the club could reschedule their cancelled treble Treble party.

Thousands of Hoops fans lined the streets of Glasgow on Saturday, hoping to catch a glimpse of the record breakers en route from their Scottish Cup win over Hearts.

Celtic sealed the historic achievement and planned a parade through the city but were re-routed due to supporters lining the streets which made it impossible for the bus to make its way through.

The Parkhead faithful didn't let the dreich weather get them down and made their own fun as they chanted loudly on the streets surrounding the Saltmarket and Merchant City.

A fan even was gifted a beer by fishing rod delivery as he was draped from a pole on a night to remember for Celtic fans.

Now Taylor admits an alternative celebration could be on the cards for Neil Lennon and his team.

He said on Twitter: “There were too many fans lining the route and police considered that it was unsafe to take a bus parade through.”

"On Thursday it was decided not to have barriers as it was considered they might pen people in.

“Ultimately the volume of people and lack of resource to manage it meant it was unsafe to take the bus parade through.”

"Hopefully there will be something else arranged.”
