Celtic set to sign Adidas deal as Hoops poised for record-breaking kit contract

Celtic are set to sign a Scottish record kit deal with Adidas.

The Premiership champions' current £25million contract with New Balance expires this summer.

But it's understood the club are on the verge of striking an agreement worth even more with the world's second largest sports manufacturer.

Talks are continuing over a long-term arrangement that would be the biggest deal of its kind in Scottish football history.

The deal would commence from the beginning of next season.

Adidas currently supply kits to the likes of Manchester United , Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid.

New Balance succeeded Nike as Celtic 's supplier in 2015 but kits have received consistently mixed reviews from supporters.

And online rumours have been rife since late 2019 that a switch to Adidas was in the works.

It would be the first time the club have had kits manufactured by the iconic German brand.

Any arrangement could also extend to the company's hugely popular casual wear range.
