Celtic 'set to offer Airdrie's Thomas Robert training stint'

Airdrieonians star Thomas Robert is set for a training stint with Celtic, as the Hoops weigh up a summer move for the Frenchman.

The Scottish Sun report that the 20-year-old is 'edging closer to an agreement' with Neil Lennon's side and talks have taken place about Airdrie's prize asset going to Lennoxtown for a training stint.

The report claims the North Lanarkshire side are hoping to land a transfer fee for the winger, who is under contract at the Diamonds until summer 2022.

Earlier this season Robert was scouted by the Hoops and Rangers were reportedly interested in the player as well, but the lower league football suspension in January dashed any hopes the player had of making a switch during the last transfer window.

Robert has scored four goals in 14 appearances this season since joining last summer and could be about to earn a big move at the end of the season if he impresses the Hoops further.
