Celtic's Champions League opponents FK Sarajevo managed by Hearts derby hero Husref Musemic

A Hearts derby hero from the late eighties will face Celtic in the UEFA Champions League first round qualifier.

Husref Musemic headed the winner in an Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle in August 1989 and now the Bosnian will return to Scotland as manager of FK Sarajevo.

The big striker moved to Hearts from then-Yugoslavian side Red Star Belgrade in July 1989 for a six-figure fee, but only lasted six months in Gorgie.

That was enough time to endear him to the Hearts fans though by putting Hibs to the sword. He also managed league goals against Dunfermline and St Mirren.

His management career has been more successful than his spell in maroon however, leading FK Sarajevo to a league and cup double last season.

He will take his side to Glasgow for the first leg to face Neil Lennon’s team, scheduled to be played on 8 or 9 July.
