Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen transfer roundtable as our panel predict what will happen before the window closes

Signing season never fails to provide shock and awe.

This month has brought the thrills and we're not finished yet - Monday's looming deadline won't pass without some surprises.

Celtic have made a compelling case with five new arrivals and Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Matt O'Riley already flashing glimpses of their obvious potential.

Rangers have added James Sands, Amad Diallo and there remains a chance that John Souttar will arrive at Ibrox six months earlier than currently planned.

And there have been deals across the Scottish leagues that have caught the eye.

But will there be more?

Our Record Sport panel predict what is coming next.

Amad Diallo has arrived on loan at Rangers with a big pedigree. Is it smart by Gio van Bronckhorst?

Andy Newport: It’s a short-term fix with the Ivorian heading back to Old Trafford in the summer come what may but you don’t end up with a price tag approaching £40million without having serious talent.

Scott Burns: You would think, yes. He is a player who arrives with a massive price and reputation. He will also know that he needs to perform at Rangers if he wants to break into that Man United team next season.

Fraser Wilson: Another winger was needed and Diallo, by all accounts, wowed Man United’s megastars with his ability in training. So it all comes down to his drive and desire. Diallo should be bursting to prove himself at Ibrox.

Bologna are still pursuing Aberdeen’s Calvin Ramsay. Will he go?

Andy Newport : Clubs tend to get desperate in the final week of the window so Aberdeen are well within their rights to chance their arm for a big pay day. But if they get too greedy the Italians are also entitled to look elsewhere.

Scott Burns: I think Aberdeen will wait and see what happens over the next couple of days. They know that there is English interest and will wait to see what develops on that front.

Fraser Wilson: Yes they should. And if lessons have been learned from the sale of Scott McKenna, where the Dons could have doubled their money if they’d not hung about, then they will. That’s a huge money for a player with much to improve on.

Three days left of the transfer window. Should Rangers and Celtic be looking to add more?

Andy Newport: Rangers could do with another attacking midfielder to ensure they do not have to rely on Alex Lowry if anything happens to Joe Aribo.

Scott Burns: I think they both need to do business in the defensive areas. Rangers could do with another right-back and Celtic could also do with more competition in left-back area.

Fraser Wilson: Rangers should go all out to bring in John Souttar now to bolster their defensive cover and even strengthen their first-choice back four. Maybe a right-back could be in their sights too. Celtic’s priority should remain a left-back to challenge Greg Taylor.
