Celtic 'plan' Kevin Nisbet swoop as Hibs striker wanted for Hoops rebuild

Celtic are planning a summer move for Hibs star Kevin Nisbet, according to a report.

The striker has impressed for Hibs this season in his first Premiership season with 18 goals in 43 games.

He was subject of bids from Birmingham in January and handed in a transfer request in a bid to force through a £3.1m move.

And Celtic will need to pay a similar amount for the Easter Road striker, who could be named in Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad for the Euros.

He would cost a minimum of £3m to the incoming Celtic boss - with Eddie Howe expected to be confirmed.

The Scottish Sun say Celtic are working on transfers and a deal for Nisbet is one that’s on the list.

The Hoops are also reportedly interested in former Hearts defender Aaron Hickey, who is currently in Italy.

The left back joined Bologna in a £1.5m move last summer and turned down a move to Celtic to complete it.

But the Hoops could go back in for him and are lining up a £4m move to sign him.

Hickey has impressed in Serie A before his season was ended early after a shoulder injury.
