Celtic mole declared 'numpty' as talkSPORT produce bizarre Austin Powers-themed criticism of Hoops double agent

Neil Lennon's anger against the 'mole' who leaked Celtic's team to face Rangers on Saturday has been backed up on talkSPORT.

With no Ally McCoist on the Breakfast show this week, Laura Woods was joined by former Parkhead striker Tony Cascarino when attention turned towards Saturday's game.

And it was during their 'numpty of the week' segment that the Hoops mole was brought up while being nominated in today's show.

Woods and Cascarino were joined by their producer, known as George, as they discussed the story as they used an Austin Powers inspired introduction to the story.

The producer said: “On Saturday Rangers put in an Old Firm derby display the Gers fans have been waiting for for years and got a 2-0 win at Celtic Park which left the four points clear at the top of the table.

“There were many reasons Rangers won and Celtic lost but Neil Lennon has been left furious over a mole at Celtic Park!”

They then played the sound from Austin Powers where he repeatedly says ‘Moley’ during the 2002 film Goldmember.

After a few laughs, the producer continues: “The Celtic manager was furious about his players and team sheet appearing on Twitter on Friday before the game.

“He raged ‘It’s not great, someone within the club is doing us in basically and that’s disgusting. We’ll get to the bottom of it’.”

:"So, there’s a mole at Celtic and I don’t think Ally McCoist would be nominating us if he was here with us today but surely being a moley moley goes against the fabric of football.”

Cascarino added: “It’s not the done thing is it? There’s been a few cases over the years, and especially from players who have been left out and then are suddenly chatting to their opposite number and saying ‘Well I’m not playing today but this is our team’ two hours before the kick-off when they’re walking on the pitch.”

While it might have been different had McCoist and Alan Brazil been on, neither Cascarino or Woods voted for the Celtic mole, with English non-league outfit Stoke Gabriel FC getting named their numpty of the day after a 12-1 defeat at the weekend.
