Celtic have been credited with an interest in Nottingham Forest transfer target Lyle Taylor.
The Charlton Athletic star has made it clear he will not play for Lee Bowyer's side once the Championship season resumes later this month.
Taylor is out of contract at the end of the month and has outlined his fears of picking up an injury that would scupper his chances of securing a new deal at another club.
The former AFC Wimbledon man was offered a new deal by the Addicks in January under new ownership but he rejected it because it was less than he thought he was worth after impressing at Championship level.
Journalist Jim White has said AFC Bournemouth, Celtic, Forest, Brentford and Fulham are all keen on Taylor, who has scored 11 goals in 22 matches for Charlton in his first campaign in the second tier.
Forest have been heavily linked with a move for the 30-year-old Montserrat international, with Sabri Lamouchi's side credited with an interest in January.
Taylor broke his silence on the developments at The Valley earlier this week.
"I hope people can look at this and not hate me," he said.
"I'd like to think people will listen to this with more of an open mind and look into my journey and where I've came from.
"I know I won't be remembered at Charlton like I did at Wimbledon: that was someone who went out there giving everything and had to be dragged off the pitch after giving my all in every game.
"I might be remembered as a money-grabber or a let-down, but I would like to think some people will look beyond that and remember the good times I shared with the manager and my team-mates and Charlton Athletic.
"Hopefully the Charlton fans can look on it more fondly than with hatred or disgust."
