Celtic have reportedly held talks with Jeffrey Schlupp about the possibility of extending his stay at the club.
The versatile star joined the Hoops on loan in January after they were unable to bring forward Kieran Tierney's return after securing him on a pre-contract for next season.
Schlupp has shared the left-back position with Greg Taylor during the second part of the season and came on a substitute during yesterday's Scottish Cup final defeat to Aberdeen.
Taylor's future is uncertain with his contract coming to an end and the 27-year-old not yet signing the deal which has been put on the table for him.
The Hoops still hope the Scotland star will sign on and compete with Tierney for the left-back slot amid a hectic schedule on domestic and European fronts.

But they have to look at alternative plans in case he does not and Schlupp is one of them. Sky Sports report club chiefs have held discussions with the 32-year-old about potentially joining permanently.
His loan from Crystal Palace is up but so is his contract at the Premier League side so he will become a free agent.
The report also claims Celtic are likely to go back in for long-term striker target Mathias Kvistgaarden at Brondby and could do the same with Sondre Orjasaeter and Michel-Ange Balikwisha.
