Celtic fans have been locked out of their Europa League clash at Real Betis next week after Spanish authorities intervened.
The Parkhead men take on Betis in Seville next Thursday but supporters won't be able to follow their heroes in the Benito Villamarín Stadium, the Hoops have confirmed.
While the players travel to Spain, loyal Bhoys will have to watch on from home after the local authority in Seville "stated that visiting fans will not be permitted to attend the match".
The Hoops hierarchy received the news on Friday afternoon and have expressed their disappointment at the decision as Ange Postecoglou's men get set to kick off their Group G campaign.
A club statement read: "We regret to announce that we have in the last 30 minutes been informed by Real Betis that they are no longer allowed to accept away fans for the match against Celtic next week, Thursday 16th September.
"Betis have indicated to Celtic that the local authority in Spain has now stated that visiting fans will not be permitted to attend the match.
"Whilst this matter is totally outwith Celtic’s control we fully understand the disappointment which will be felt by Celtic fans planning on attending.
"Wherever we play we are backed by the best support in huge numbers and it is a disappointment to all involved at Celtic and the team that we will not be able to have our fans with us as we visit the city of Seville again."
Celtic advised their fans against travelling to Spain and will issue refunds for briefs already purchased.
The club have also told supporters to hang fire on making arrangements for away clashes with their other group opponents Bayer Leverkusen and Ferencvaros.
