Celtic could take AC Milan defenders as part of Kristoffer Ajer move

AC Milan are reportedly willing to throw in players as part of their move for Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer.

The 22-year-old has been targeted by the Serie A side, and it is believed that a bid in the region of £13.5m has been rejected.

Milan have not been dissuaded, however, and Ajer could still be set for a move to Italy.

According to the Sunday Post, Milan are willing to increase their bid for the Norwegian to £22.4m and throw in central defenders to sweeten the deal.

They claim that Italian Matteo Gabbia and Mateo Musacchio from Argentina could head to Celtic Park if Ajer arrives at the San Siro.

Neil Lennon's side, meanwhile, have been linked with a move for Wolves winger Daniel Podence.

The Mirror is today reporting that Celtic are frontrunners among a number of clubs keen to take him on loan this season.

Podence arrived at Molineux for £17m in January, but has struggled to break into Nuno Espirito Santo's side and Celtic are believed to be keen on bringing him to Glasgow on loan this season.
