Celtic break Josip Juranovic transfer deadlock as Legia Warsaw 'accept' second offer

Celtic are believed to have seen a second offer for Legia Warsaw's Josip Juranovic accepted.

The Croatian is one of a number of a number of right-backs linked with a move to Ange Postecoglou's Hoops this summer with Manchester City's Yan Couto and Antwerp's Aurelio Buta chief among them.

Celtic are desperate for some competition for Anthony Ralston and appear to have settled on Juranovic as their main target.

Reports in Croatia on Tuesday suggested that an offer worth £2m for the 24-year-old had been thrown out.

But Sky Sports now claim that a second bid - closer to £2.5m - has been accepted by Legia.

And it's now over to Celtic to agree on personal terms before a switch to the Scottish Premiership.

Talks between the club and the player are said to have started already and it's likely Celtic will want to rubber stamp the deal as soon as possible to focus on other targets.

Postecoglou is believed to be keen on another three signings in addition to Juranovic, with a new centre-back, a winger and a striker on his wishlist.

And that's before any potential outgoing transfers deplete the squad further with Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie linked with moves away.
