Celtic boss Neil Lennon shares Greg Taylor injury update after Ross County win

Neil Lennon has given Celtic fans positive news on Greg Taylor's injury.

The left-back opened the scoring in today's 2-0 friendly win over Ross County at Celtic Park, but went off injured shortly before half-time following a Connor Randall challenge and was replaced by Kerr Mcinroy.

With Celtic's Premiership opener against Aberdeen at Pittodrie just a week away, supporters were concerned to see Taylor depart the action.

Manager Lennon, however, has moved to quell their fears. Speaking on Celtic TV, Lennon said: "He's alright, it's just a trauma.

"So hopefully he'll be fit for Wednesday or Thursday to train this week.

"It's strapped up at the minute, it was a bit sore, hopefully in a couple of days the swelling will go down and it'll be okay."

Celtic take on Hibs tomorrow at Celtic Park in another friendly, with Lennon likely to make a number of changes from the side that won this afternoon.

He said: "I'm looking forward to adding some young players, some players who will be on the fringe and some who will be in competition for places as we go along.

"It will be another good workout and we're delighted to have these games."
