Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins line-up announced - with Kerry Katona among those taking part

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to our TV screens with a new line-up of 12 well-known faces.

Kerry Katona, Jake Quickenden, Vicky Pattison and Ulrika Jonsson are among the celebs who think they have what it takes to pass SAS selection on the Channel Four show.

Each celebrity will abandon their glamourous lifestyles and head into the wilds of the Scottish Hebrides in the remote island of Raasay on one of the toughest selection courses yet.

Putting them through the SAS selection course will be ex-special forces soldier Ant Middleton and his directing staff Jason 'Foxy' Fox, Billy Billingham, Melvyn Downes and Anthony 'Staz' Stazicker.

Over eight days the 12 celebrities will be put through a series of gruelling tasks and interrogations that will test them both physically and mentally.

Each will confront surprising truths about themselves, to discover their true self and not everyone will have what it takes to make it to the end of the challenge.

Mother-of-five Kerry, who shot to fame as a member of the girl band Atomic Kitten, said: “This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I never thought I’d learn so much about myself.”

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 finalist Alexandra said: “Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is the most challenging thing physically and mentally I have ever done. It was such a life changing experience and totally blew my mind. I would do the whole thing again in a heartbeat!”

New dad Jake, who won Dancing On Ice in 2018, “It was the best experience. I’ll never forget it.”

Former Gladiators host Ulrika said: “I felt it had a profoundly positive effect on me.”

And for former Geordie Shore star Vicky, who was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I'm A Celebrity in 2015, not even her time running the gauntlet in the Australian jungle could have prepared her for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

“Being a big fan of the show I wanted to push myself to get out of my comfort zone and to do something completely new," she said.

"Nothing can prepare you for it, and it was an experience I'll never forget."

Last year Paralympian Lauren Steadman and musician DJ Locksmith from the band Rudimental emerged victorious from the second series.

And former footballer Wayne Bridge was crowned the winner of the first series in 2019, which is based on the civilian version which has run since 2015.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to Channel 4 on Sunday August 29 at 9pm.
