CCTV released in unsolved stabbing death

Stabbing victim Michael Kerr, 51, was captured on CCTV shortly before he was attacked in January. (AAP)

CCTV footage has been released showing a man's last moments before he was fatally stabbed at Nowra on the state's south coast earlier this year.

Michael Kerr, 51, was found unconscious suffering a stab wound at the corner of Haigh Ave and Worrigee St in Nowra in the early hours of January 4 .

Emergency services tried to revive him but he died a short time later at hospital.

Homicide detectives established Strike Force Lodder and on Friday released CCTV footage of Mr Kerr walking south along nearby Kinghorne St shortly before he was injured.

Detectives also released CCTV footage of a white Mitsubishi ASX SUV seen in the area at the time.

Police want to speak to the front seat passenger, a Caucasian man in his early 20s with brown hair.

Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area between 3am and 5am on January 4 is being urged to come forward.
