Cavan fans were delighted as they woke up to the news this morning that three of their players have been named in the 2020 PwC All Stars team.
After Dublin, the Ulster champions have the strongest representation with three players - goalkeeper Raymond Galligan, his cousin Thomas and Pádraig Faulkner, which eclipses their All Star tally from the previous 49 years.
Sharing the news on Facebook, Cavan GAA said: "What a finish to 2020. 1 Ulster final 12 Ulster All-Stars, 3 National All Stars.
"Congratulations to the entire panel, Mickey Graham his management and entire back room team.
"Most importantly thank you to every player on the panel with out you all none of this would have been achieved. What a year for Cavan GAA."
A number of fans commented on the post, congratulating the three players and the rest of the squad.
One person said: "Well done to our 3 all stars and hard luck to the lads who narrowly missed out. Thoroughly deserved lads, Padraig has long been the best full back in the country and it's about time he was recognised as such.
"Roll on the 2021 championship and onwards and upwards for this brilliant squad of players."
