Catherine Tyldesley's funny gym blunder thanks to her son Alfie

Like many of us Catherine Tyldesley was keen to hit the gym after Christmas - but she realised she'd made a bit of a blunder after changing into her workout gear.

The former Coronation Street star and Strictly Come Dancing 2019 contestant had forgotten that her four-year-old son Alifie had drawn a smiley Christmas tree on her tummy.

The doting mum found it so amusing she shared a photo of his artwork on her Instagram.

"When you go to the gym and forget that Alf drew a Xmas tree on your belly button ..." she explained underneath a photo of herself lifting up her top to show off his handiwork.

Cath, 36, from Walkden, also shared a photo of herself working out in preparation for the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour starting later this month.

She's preparing to don the sequins again after dancing up a storm on the BBC dance contest with pro dancer Johannes Radebe.

"Back at it! Ready for you 2020... kicking ass ready for @strictlycomedancinglive ," she said.

Catherine , who played Eva Price in Corrie, said previously about the tour:  “I’m so delighted to be continuing my Strictly journey on the live tour.

"I have absolutely fallen in love with dancing, so I can’t wait to get back on that dance floor and perform for the Strictly fans once more. Roll on January!”

The tour opens at Arena Birmingham on Wednesday January 16 and the Manchester Arena shows take place on Saturday January 25, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, and Sunday January 26, at 1.30pm and 6.30pm.
