Cat shot with pellet gun in Scottish town as police launch investigation

A CAT has been shot with a pellet gun in the Highlands as police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Police are appealing for information after the pet was believed to have been targeted around the Lodgehill area of Nairn between midday and 10pm on Friday.

No arrests have been made, but officers have launched an investigation into the shooting.

“Nairn officers are appealing for information that may help identify the person responsible for shooting a cat with a pellet.

"This happened between midday and 10pm on Friday, September 12. Although the exact location is unknown, we believe it to have happened around the Lodgehill area of Nairn.

“Anyone with any information is asked to please contact us on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Please quote PS-20250913-1224.”
