For the past 21 years, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre has brought art, ideas and innovation to the Liverpool community. To celebrate the anniversary, the converted 1950s power station will present an exhibition of works, curated by Tony Bailey.
The exhibition includes work by 21 contemporary Australian artists with close histories with the centre. For many exhibiting at the art centre was their first break in the art world.
On opening night, the birthday celebration will be open to the public. The party will be complete with 90s dance tunes, a variety show, a bush doof (otherwise known as an Aussie outdoor dance party) and a catapult that shoots colour .
