Castle Douglas High School pupil enjoys success in Scottish Cyclo-cross Series

Castle Douglas High School pupil Sam Barbour, who rides for Steppingstanes Youth Cycling Club, had a successful outing in the third round of the Scottish Cyclo-cross Series at Irvine Beach Park on Sunday.

Sam took the victory in the junior men category with a flawless ride throughout.

Last month, he attended the Scottish National Hill Time Championships where he rode to a credible third place.
