Cashpoint robbers target man in town centre attack

Police are looking to speak to two men after a robbery at a cash machine.

At around 4.20am on January 29, a 26-year-old man noticed another man was standing behind him as he was using an ATM on Lord Street, Southport.

He was then grabbed by the neck and pulled to the ground by the man, dislocating his knee in the process, before his cash was taken from an ATM on Lord Street, Southport.

A second man was also present, who is believed to have been in company with the first, and made attempts to stop the victim chasing after him.

Merseyside Police has issued CCTV images of two men police would like to speak to, believing they could have information which is vital to our investigation.
