Cash stolen from Kilmarnock cars in late-night raids

Vehicle raids in Kilmarnock have seen cash stolen from cars, police have confirmed.

Motors have been targeted in the Southcraig area of town with the hunt for the culprits now on.

A three-figure sum of cash was stolen from a car Lauriston Way along with a backpack and computer.

The vehicle was raided some time between 2.55am and 3.05am on Friday, November 5.

On nearby Darvel Avenue, an assailant entered a vehicle and stole a two-figure sum of cash along with personal items.

This raid is said to have taken place some time between 9pm on Thursday, November 4 and 10.30am on Friday, November 5.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC McGarva on the non-emergency 101 number.
