If there was any doubt that Queen’s Park was not transforming into one of London’s restaurant hotbeds, yet another new venture is launching in NW6.
Next to open will be Casa Felicia, a Naples-inspired restaurant from the chef Francesco Savornio, the former head chef at Giacco’s in Highbury and who has also cooked at Manteca, Oranj, and Early June in Paris.
Described as “a soulful Italian kitchen in the heart of Queen’s Park”, Savornio told the Standard that Casa Felicia will be rooted in the traditions of southern Italy, with a focus on handmade pasta — only semolina and water, no egg — and the “very best Italian ingredients”.
Dishes will include raw and dry-aged fish, puntarelle salad, a house lasagne, ziti alla Genovese, and whole turbot baked in a salt crust. Drinks will focus on natural wines, while Campari-based cocktails will be available during a neighbourhood aperitivo hour, encouraging guests to enjoy a spritz before dinner in true Italian style.
“As a Neapolitan, I’m excited to bring the flavours and traditions of southern Italy to Queen’s Park, but with a modern spirit that reflects London today,” said Savornio.
“At Casa Felicia, it’s all about generosity, authenticity, and creating food that makes people happy.”
Casa Felicia will open under Romain Bourrillon, the founder of the hospitality group Bo & Co., which counts the likes of Cocotte and Supra among its brands. Bourrillon started his career at 16 in the south of France before moving to New York, where he worked at various Michelin-starred restaurants.
He said: “Queen’s Park has such a special energy right now. It's no longer just a neighbourhood but a destination for food and community. With Casa Felicia, I wanted to create somewhere that feels both familiar and inspiring, a place where people can gather, share great food and feel at home.”
Casa Felicia opens on October 28 at 79 Salusbury Road, NW6 6NH, @casafeliciarestaurant
