Before her secret marriage to Boris Johnson, Carrie Symonds hired three decoy dresses to throw people off the scent, it has been reported.
The 33-year-old married the Prime Minister in an intimate ceremony at Westminster Cathedral on Saturday afternoon.
The mum-of-one opted for a £2,870 embroidered tulle white dress, while Mr Johnson wore a dark suit with a blue tie.
Her wedding dress, by Greek-based luxury designer Christos Costarellos, was handmade, according to reports, but she paid a fraction of the cost after renting it from My Wardrobe HQ.
It was to be returned on Monday, with the couple enjoying a brief two-day seaside break before the PM returns to work on Tuesday, insiders claim.

The Times reports that the new Mrs Johnson often orders clothes to the couple's Downing Street home and wanted to throw people off the scent by hiring multiple bridal dresses.
The company she ordered the dresses from were said to have only learned they had supplied the wedding dress after seeing pictures of the secret wedding.
Co-founder Sacha Newall said: "We didn't know what it was for. We were just asked to supply some items. Then we saw what happened this weekend. It was all a bit of a surprise."
They were reported to have revealed that Mrs Johnson asked for four dresses in a variety of shades.
She said: "There is an awareness that as the prime minister’s wife she needs to be dressed in a certain way. She doesn't want to feel that she is letting the side down."
The gown featured tiers of wispy ivory tulle spun with silk, with traditional Greek patterns.
It had latticework trims and corded lace appliqués, which the popular atelier is known for.
