Caroline Flack's family will speak out about her death tonight in new documentary

Caroline Flack's family, friends and former colleagues will speak out about her death tonight in a new Channel 4 documentary.

The Love Island presenter who took her life in February last year is the subject of Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death, a 'tribute to one of Britain's biggest TV stars', looking at how fame, mental health issues, press and social media affected the star.

The hour-long documentary sees emotional chats with her mother Christine and twin sister Jody, as well as her friends and colleagues including Olly Murs and Dermot O'Leary.

Caroline's sister Jody is said to have begged Caroline to walk away from her showbiz life.

In the documentary she says: "I would beg her to change jobs and leave showbiz but she never would. Life would have been easier but she wasn’t built for an easy life.

"She was always scared she’d be ridiculed; she was terrified to admit her mental health struggles."

Olly also talks about the first time he met Caroline in the documentary: "I walked in for the first time and thought: 'wow she is stunning, gorgeous and she was full of life.'

"At the time I was single and I think she was and straight away this chemistry came out of nowhere.

"It was exciting, everyone was talking about us like we were the next Richard and Judy, the next Ant and Dec, that’s why the show was such a success and the fact that everybody thought that we were together."

Caroline's mum also hits out at Lorraine Kelly and Grahame Norton for making hurtful jokes about her daughter's troubles in the lead up to her death.

Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death is on tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
