Love Island will be back on our TV screens very shortly, according to host Caroline Flack.

Viewers will soon be introduced to a new batch of singletons all in search of the summer of their lives, with passion, romance and drama from the outset.

The Love Islanders will be living Mallorcan villa, where they will have to couple up, and win the hearts of each other and the public, who will ultimately decide which pair is the winner.

Previously, Caroline has said the new contestants for the show have been chosen , with a number of social influencers rumoured to be heading to Spain.

But speaking to her 1.9million Instagram followers today, the TV presenter hinted at a start date for the show, reports Plymouth Live.

She said: "I have just trained with Bradley Simmons and he was making me do weights that I shouldn't be lifting but he said we only have three weeks before Love Island starts or for Love Island prep."

However, it's worth noting ITV have released no official confirmation of the start date, which usually begins the first week of June.

Last month the ITV host also revealed that filming for the show was due to start, and that she would be meeting the 2019 contestants.

She said: "What’s really exciting about this week is that we start filming for Love Island 2019 and by the end of the week I am going to have potentially seen the cast for this year.

"That is really exciting and mad that it’s come around this quick, so I’ll let you know what happens. It’s going to be a long, hot summer and all that."
