Carol Vorderman 'chuffed' she can fit into a dress made for Holly Willoughby

Welsh star Carol Vorderman has been preparing to co-host the Pride of Britain Awards next Thursday and this has included trying on many different dresses.

The former Countdown maths genius will be wearing two different dresses for the ceremony, one for the red carpet and one for the ceremony itself.

Taking to Instagram she revealed that she was "chuffed" to fit into a sample dress that had originally been made for This Morning host Holly Willoughby.

Posting pictures of the dresses, she said: "Go in and try on some samples dresses including one which had been made before for @hollywilloughby...that one fitted like a glove...I was well chuffed I could fit into it!!!"

Carol also said she had chosen her dress to be red so that it would compliment the blue suit of Diversity dancer Ashely Banjo who is co-hosting the awards alongside Carol for the first time.

Although Carol has only posted a picture of the dress from the back, we can see the red dress compliments her figure with a tight fit flowing into a small red train with long sleeves.

She explained they shortened the train to allow her to move around the stage more easily and thanked the dress designer Suzanne Neville and her stylist Marcella Martinelli.

Carol will be presenting the Pride of Britain Awards on Thursday, November 4 which will be aired on ITV from 8.00pm.
