Cardinals’ WR Rondale Moore out, TE Zach Ertz questionable in Week 1

The Arizona Cardinals released their final injury report of the week and there is both good and bad news. Three players were ruled out, but it would appear that they could have more of their starters on the field than it seemed there would be based on the early part of the week.

In addition to the three players ruled out, the Cardinals have another four listed as questionable for the game.

Ruled out

OL Cody Ford (ankle), WR Rondale Moore (hamstring), CB Trayvon Mullen Jr. (toe)

Mullen thought he would be ready to go this week. He will not be.

Ford’s injury makes the team’s depth at guard more questionable. Hopefully, starting left guard Justin Pugh is able to play.

Moore hurt his hamstring Thursday and has been ruled out.

Mullen did not practice all week. Moore and Ford did not go at all Friday after being limited Thursday.

Questionable

TE Zach Ertz (calf), CB Byron Murphy (illness), OL Justin Pugh (neck), DL J.J. Watt (calf)

Murphy was anew addition to the injury report Friday. He did not get any work on Friday.

Pugh was limited all week. Ertz was limited Wednesday and Friday but didn’t practice Thursday. The hope is that Ertz can have some role on Sunday. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury is more optimistic about him playing than he was. Watt did not practice all week but, because of his knowledge of the defense, would play in a limited role.

Others without game designation

LS Aaron Brewer (ankle), LB Markus Golden (toe), OL Rodney Hudson (Wednesday rest), LB Zeke Turner (shoulder), RB Jonathan Ward (shoulder)

Hudson’s only appearance on the injury report was Wednesday. He was not hurt. He was imply given the day off.

Everyone else was a full participant Friday after being at least limited the rest of the week.

Chiefs' injury report

The Chiefs ended up without a single player with an injury designation. The only player who missed any reps in practice was defensive end Frank Clark. He did not practice Wednesday with an illness and was limited Friday but will play.

It will be a completely healthy Chiefs squad against a banged-up Cardinals team.
