The Arizona Cardinals have not yet announced the move, but they made a roster move on Wednesday. They waived linebacker Thurston Armbrister, per the NFL’s transaction list (hat tip to AZCentral Sports’ Bob McManaman)
Armbrister was a late addition to the roster during the season. He was signed to the practice squad on November 28 and then promoted to the 53-man roster on November 30. He was inactive one game and played one game, collecting one special teams tackle, before he was placed on injured reserve on December 11 with a hamstring injury.
He was due to make $645,000 in 2019 but did not receive a signing bonus. He will not affect the salary cap for Arizona this year.
